How publishing your image works

When we find a picture of funny Japanese tattoo/sign/T-shirt etc., we might directly contact the owner of the picture to ask for permission to post it on this website.

If you accept our request, we will save your image and post it to our website. Your image will be downloaded and stored on our server.

Here are more details of how it works:

How your image(s) will be published

  • Our website will automatically add a watermark “nihongo.goglobalist.com” to your image.
  • We might crop your image and/or add circles/letters to it for better visibility. We will also mask any personal information before publishing.
  • Our site administrator will add a description to your image. We might translate and quote your original comment.
  • At the end of the post, we will add text saying “*The image was provided by XXXX. Thank you!” in Japanese. (※画像はXXXX様からご提供いただきました。ありがとうございました!!) This “XXXX” will be replaced with your social media user name or blog name. We can also add a link to your website if you wish.
  • The “Posted by” field will also be your user name or site name.
  • We might use your image as the design of a T-shirt etc. in the future.
